Sena Dönmez Özdemir is a clinical psychologist, clinical supervisor, trainer, and Somatic Experiencing practitioner. She works with adults, adolescents and groups, integrating psychoanalytic and existential perspectives. She currently conducts her practice at Navia Psychology, where she is a co-founder.
She completed her undergraduate studies in psychology at İstanbul Bilgi University and earned her master's degree in clinical psychology from the same institution. Throughout her academic and professional journey, she has deepened her clinical experience through supervision from numerous psychoanalysts and existential psychotherapists.
She has completed both Basic and Advanced Level Existential Analysis training at the Existential Academy of Istanbul. She is also pursuing an existential therapy training program accredited by the Federation for Existential Therapy in Europe (FETE), designed in accordance with the European Association for Psychotherapy (EAP) standards.
Her interests include body-oriented psychotherapy approaches and trauma work. In this field, she has completed the Somatic Experiencing Practitioner Training approved by Somatic Experiencing International (SEI) and the European Association of Somatic Experiencing (EASE), earning her certification as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner.
She completed her clinical internships at the İstanbul Bilgi University Psychological Counseling Center, İstanbul University Çapa Medical Faculty Psychiatry Clinic, and the Green Crescent Counseling Center (Yeşilay Danışmanlık Merkezi). She has also engaged in voluntary mental health-focused work with various non-governmental organizations, including the Genç Hayat Foundation, World Human Relief, and the International Doctors Association.
Between 2019 and 2021, she worked as a clinical psychologist at the Green Crescent Counseling Center (YEDAM), providing individual psychotherapy for adults and children/adolescents struggling with addiction, conducting group therapy sessions, and holding family consultations. She coordinated the specialized intervention program for children and adolescents experiencing alcohol and substance use issues. From 2021 to 2025, she worked as a therapist and clinical supervisor at the Existential Academy of Istanbul.
Currently, she continues her work as a co-founder and psychotherapist at Navia Psychology.
She is a member of the Existential Psychotherapy Association, the İstanbul Psychoanalytic Psychosomatic Association, and the Federation for Existential Therapy in Europe (FETE).
