Elif Yaren Güleroğlu graduated with highest honors from the Department of Psychology at Boğaziçi University. In the same year, she was admitted with a full scholarship to the Clinical Psychology Master's Program at Istanbul Bilgi University.
As part of her graduate internship, she conducted psychodynamic psychotherapy sessions with adult clients under supervision. She completed her master’s degree with a thesis titled “Association of Narcissistic Personality and Psychotherapy Expectations: The Role of Selfobject Needs.”
During her undergraduate studies, she volunteered as an educator for children aged 8–10 at the Educational Volunteers Foundation of Turkey (TEGV) and took part in various research labs focused on topics such as social psychology and cognitive psychology. She also provided regular guidance counseling sessions for a year to adolescents preparing for university entrance exams within a private educational institution.
While pursuing her master’s degree, she conducted clinical interviews with adult participants as part of multiple research studies. She also administered and reported on Rorschach and TAT projective tests. Following the February 6th earthquake, she took an active role in organizing public seminars for adults under the umbrella of the Istanbul Bilgi University Psychological Counseling Center.
She is currently continuing her training in “Technique and Practice in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy” led by supervision analyst Yavuz Erten. She also participates in ongoing professional development, including training in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and the Congress on Sexuality and Sexual Therapies organized by CETAD (The Turkish Society of Sexual Education, Treatment, and Research).
